What yashdem doesn't like about Viola Espressobar:
Zero customer service! Member of staff who served us was extremely rude and aggressive. She shouted at me, yelling at me in Italian and saying that she was alone busy, stop calling me. People who came after me all of them have been served which they were all Italian. But when you are a tourist you don’t get the same respect. If you are an ice cream aficionado don’t bother going anywhere else while in Ortigia or in Syracuse for that matter. Their ice cream is literally out of this world, not too sweet and it actually tastes genuine. I had pistachio, ricotta, lemon and dark chocolate. They taste of the real thing and you could see that it had good custom as the gelateria was always extremely busy. They have a strange way of how to take orders which at first confused me but then by the second time you get used to what you have to do. If you’re seated outside you have to let the waitress take your order and if you choose an ice cream you then have to go inside yourself to choose the flavours and take it outside yourself whilst for coffee or anything else they’ll be brought to your table by the staff. Can’t understand the average rating as their ice cream is the best.

The coffee was cery good (we had cafe freddo, iced capuccino and regular capuccino, strongly recommend the iced one! . But the best part was the baked goods. Cornetto with ricotta and especially pistacchio cream brioche were unbelievably tasty. Discovered the place on the first day of our stay and came back every morning.
Il Bar Viola serve un caffè delizioso, come si può vedere dalle foto che vizianno anche i loro clienti con i disegni sui caffè. È un luogo dove si può gustare un'ottima colazione con una vasta scelta di cornetti, dolcetti e biscotti. Non solo per la colazione, ma anche un luogo perfetto per un aperitivo con amici o in famiglia. È frequentato da tutte le età e si può scegliere di sedersi all'aperto o all'interno per gustare il caffè, i dolci o i rustici. Il personale è professionale, gentile e simpatico. Vi consiglio di visitarlo. Si trova nel centro storico, in Corso Matteotti 51 a Ortigia, Siracusa.
Un petit bar très sympathique où vous buvez un excellent café et malgré le fait que l'endroit est moderne et les prix potentiellement touristiques sont bas.
