Contribute Feedback What Edvige Vitale doesn't like about Trattoria Archimede:
Expensive for the quality of the food. The way the couscous was served, was quite unappetising, couscous dry with oily vegetables and the watery sauce by the side. Pizza was very fat. Another guest’s pizza literally had a puddle of oil on top of it. View all feedback.
Excellent lunch and service. On a very hot day we preferred to eat in an air-conditioned room. The ambience of the room was very appreciated (see photo). I eat very rarely pasta in restaurants, but after a bad experience with pizza in Catania I tried the recommended Pasta alla norma. This was an excellent reminder of how good pasta can be. My favorite Italian dessert from Tiramisu was not available. A chocolate cake was proposed. Although I love chocolate, I had so many poor chocolate sponge cakes that I have rarely eaten today. This chocolate cake was like nothing I had before intense chocolate taste, without being sweet and small, if ever, sponge. This is more than for the non-availability of a good tiramisu. The house red Siracusa wine was very good. The service was impeccable. The restaurant was founded in 1954. You know what it takes to have satisfied customers.
We came to this place by chance, as it was the only one that could accommodate us in a busy Saturday evening without prior booking. The rating score of 3.7 was already disturbing us, but after eating it was clear that they earned much more than that. The service was fast and attentive, the food really good (the Polpo in Agrodolce was for dying) and the prices were completely in line with the other restaurants in the area. Bonus point: we were the only tourists of the evening as the other guests were all Italians (always a great sign). We will come back
Very traditional Sicilian place. Fresh meat and fish dishes, Italian house made pasta and fresh pizza. You can dip or take away. Personalized attention and excellent customer support.
The staff was more inviting than most, we even have a tour through the restaurant and fresh oranges from their backyard tree! The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the food and wine was very good.
