Retrò La Locanda - SIRACUSA

Delicious food with beautiful platter presentation. Price vs. quality spot on. Good selection of dishes (especially seafood). Quality and friendly staff. Personal favorite restaurant visited under 10 who recommended michelin. Suppa di pesce is fantastic. Octopus starter fantastic (no pictures as dinner was too good to play with phone). Aubergine starters with Parmesan melt in the mouth, like Kalbshaupt(pictures). Combine good wines with delicious seafood. Works very well for lunch (most places outside are hidden from the midday sun) and even better for dinner (Romantic evening atmosphere). Clientele usually Italians who enjoy this restaurant after appearance. Very recommended!

Oh, my God! This place is just a bliss. We spent two nice evenings in the Retro La Locanda with great seafood and vegetables based meals. We had fantastic spaghetti alla norma (the best we tried in Sicily! and an absolute winner spaghetti all bygole with finocchietto selvatico (what a fabulous taste!!! Oh, and their antipasti like the Polpo alla Luciana, caponata con pesce spada or insalata di arance were also wonderful. All together with great Dolci, the very good wine and especially the very professional and super friendly staff makes a great experience worth staying another day in Ortigia. Thank you and we'll see you again one day!

There twice during a 2 day stay. Beautiful seafood selection, really cute interior, inside is tiny, that is a big pro Imo, the door to the kitchen was open so that we can cook cooking our kitchen. Beautiful experience, will come def next year

Very good food! Wine selection is great. We had a remarkable dinner here in this restaurant. Try the fish of the day that comes directly from the coast of Siracusa. Burrata was also a phenomenon. I am a big Buratta fan and that was very tasty and creamy. Sea bass in foil and swordfish fillet with tomatoes olive caper sauce. What a delicious dinner! Grazie Giuseppe! Great service! 5* plus.

The best food we had in Sicily, really delicious. Service was exceptional too. We tried the mussels, swordfish pasta, pistachio pasta. All excellent.
