Medusa - SIRACUSA

In 5 weeks traveling in Italy, this was the single poor dining experience we’ve had. It surprised us because of the positive reviews. Although the seafood was good though the grilled tuna was over cooked the service was just terrible. The staff were quarreling, then largely ignoring the diners. Everyone working there seemed unhappy and that added to the poor experience. There were only about 6 tables of diners and at least 4 wait staff so it couldn’t be due to low staffing. The house local wine was terrible. We sent it back (and paid for it anyway) and ordered a bottle instead . Ortigia has many very good restaurants. I recommend you choose one of those instead.

Our hotel suggested the restaurant and we were not disappointed. The menu had plenty of good options, mostly seafood. The portions were large and the food was fresh and tasty. The fired dishes were especially good. Only wish the staff spoke better English but they do try.

Best Restaurant in Syrakus for a great lunch or dinner. Delicious, fresh fish, huge portions, nice family business, away from the touristy masses.

Voglia di provare qualcosa di diverso, prenotato il tavolo ed eccoci arrivati. Personale gentile e cordiale. Il servizio nella norma. Quantità di cibo eccellente. Abbiamo preso diverse pietanze ma sinceramente mi aspettavo molto di più. Attenti a non far aspettare i clienti e per ottimizzare i tempi ecco un piatto diverso offerto dalla casa, graditissimo. Tuttavia ci ritornerò per constatare se effettivamente merita qualche stella in più. Rapporto quantità prezzo corretta. Locale in ordine simpatia a portata di sorriso.

Sinceramente dalle informazioni raccolte dalle persone del luogo che mi hanno consigliato e da quello che ho letto in giro mi aspettavo di più!I primi tutti troppo conditi e l’utilizzo eccessivo del pomodoro mascherava totalmente il sapore del pesce, menù poco vario…prezzi medio/alto…insomma non sono andata via con la voglia di ritornare.
