Don’t worry. The meals are gorgeous and sufficient in size. A starter and a main course. Very tasty my wife and I can recommend Chander’s restaurant and above all he is a very nice person.
This restaurant is a one man show . The host is very nice but he cannot cook decent Indian food. There is no menu you take what comes on the plate (which is stainless steel, with divisions. Sort of army surplus and not a thali at all! . We were served rice (overcooked and claggy , lentil curry (best thing on the plate! , and a tofu curry plus a veg curry both of which later had the same sauce. We had hoped for a good meal often little holes in the wall can produce that. But not this one. They also only take cash. We paid 56frs for two plates of substandard (even by the flocked curry palace standards! food and one Kingfisher beer. Water was free. I did not expect to find a place in Sion that was up to Geneva standards but I didn 't expect to find one that served food like this. Needless to say we won 't be back.
This unassuming restaurant has some of the best vegetation Indian food I have ever had! The host is beyond kind and cooks up delicious food. We had no idea what we were going to be served but were blown away with what was served. Starter: veggie samosas Main: Tempeh Curry, fried spinach and lentil dahl. Our favourite place to eat in Switzerland.
Visited Chez Chander for lunch. All the dishes were very good, but have to say, the chickpea and lentil curry, was the best ever!
