Restaurant located at the top of the town of Sion. Typical cuisine. A more than warm welcome, the owner of the place explains to us the preparations and the origin of the ingredients. Tasty recipes. View all feedback.
What Clivaz Oriane doesn't like about Abyssinia:
Here is my experience. I decided to call this restaurant for two people. The person on the line asks me directly if I have the covid certificate. I tell him that this is the case because I had the opportunity to do a test before. However, he asks me if I was vaccinated in an unpleasant tone and starts to raise his voice. He tells me that if I am not vaccinated I can only eat on the terrace because there is a risk of... View all feedback.
Honestly, after spending a week in the Alps skiing, eating cheese, and all the average food in the mountain. We are so happy to have discovered this restaurant. I’ve had Ethiopian food across London and amsterdam and they do not compare to this spot! Lovely food, lovely boss and very decently priced if compared to many other European cities. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Sion or skiing in the Alps
Excellent Ethiopian restaurant... The cuisine takes us on a journey with its refined and tasty dishes... We eat there with our fingers and with small pancakes... The tasting menu, which is also available in a vegetarian version, is truly excellent and the various little spicy dishes to perfection, transport us to the African continent... The boss, who takes great care with his guests, explains to us all the preparations made with love by his wife in the kitchen... He also reminds us that the tasting menu is served at your discretion... Bravo and thank you to the whole team... SAGA AFRICA

Top notch nosh, good range of meat and veggie shizzle. Will sort out your injera shiro craving…
Wonderful Ethiopian restaurant! Food was good and we got a lot of extra free bread (gallete). I specifically liked the aperitif drinks (a honey one and a mango one) very special, delicious and absolutely yummy. It was a bit difficult to communicate with the waitress although we do speak french. Not cheap, but hey it’s Switzerland.
