I ordered the sardines and was excited to try them. Sadly, they were so salted I couldn 't eat them. They must have dredged them in salt. When I expressed I felt bad for wasting them and said it was too much salt for me, the waiter was like eh, we don 't care . Hmmm, interesting response. Everyone else 's food was fine, but nothing to rave about.
If you want to be deceived, then welcome to this restaurant, where high prices and terrible quality, in addition you will get disgusting service! Believe me, this restaurant has nothing to do with fine Portuguese cuisine. The most disgusting restaurant I've ever been to. It is completely focused on people who will never return to it, I think no Piriougalian would eat what is cooked here.
This seemed more of a locals place when we were there, and yet the food was fantastic and rivaled any other hot spot restaurant we visited. Service was terrific, the outdoor seating was lovely and quiet and the menu terrific. As in most places we found in Lisbon, prices were good too.
Good restaurant to eat after walk to Pena Palace. Basic portuguese food of good quality, rapid service menues in french, english and spanish. No gastronomic wonders but solid quality at reasonable prices.
Horrible. We've suffered discrimination and violence by thia restaurante's owner. We asked for the Plate of the Day but then they tryed to charge us more. When we complained the employee (alwaya very kind) said she was sorry and then corrected the price. All good. But then a woman started to yell at us. When we found out it was the owner wr asked for the Complains' Book. Then she got agressive. She said this was HER country and that she was going to call the police. We wanted to call the police too. She was out of her mind, shouting and insulting. The employees were terryfied and the other customers started to leave the place. A tuk tuk driver who was with us called the police. The restaurante's owner was truly crazy and violent. This is my country, she kept saying. So we were charged more and got insulted for free. I've been in Portugal for 2 years now and I've travelled all around the country. Never ever experienced something like this. I was with my mom (and elderly person) who came all the way from Argentina to visit me. She was scared and it was all very unfair. This is unacceptable.
