Contribute Feedback What Richard M doesn't like about Midori:
The service was very good, and atmosphere nice. Only six tables so the space is small inside the restaurant. No sushi bar all tables, I like a bar. The tasting menu was good but not enough fish. Again this is a Michelin Star restaurant. It seems to me most of the meal was good, but the desserts as usual excelled. I'm no a dessert fan so it doesn't help my view of the restaurant . I'll enclose a copy of the menu at a... View all feedback.
The most incredible service and best food of all of Sintra. Even if you're not staying at this hotel you MUST MUST MUST come for dinner. We were taken cared of by RAJ who is the most thoughtful, kind, and hospitable person. Saturday's is Japanese Portuguese fusion with vegan, meat, sushi with a twist. And the resort is in the middle of the mountains with breathtaking greenery. Totally recommend
We had the most considerate beautiful server RAJ! He made the experience incredible. The food is also out of this world!
Service is excellent. Food is basically fine, with fresh ingredients, but everything is very salty. Too salty so that it negatively affects the taste.
There was no variation in using producrs . Most dishes were created by using Tuna . We would have liked a variation perhaps some meat . Desert was not impressive to a poit of a Micheline rating . However , service was impacable very professional .
It is relatively rare for a fine dining restaurant to exceed expectations. After all, such expectations are usually high and it is much easier to disappoint them. Before Midori, I can hardly remember the last time I experienced a restaurant that was so much better than expected. The food was excellent (in my opinion, much better than what is usually served at Michelin 1 star level the rating here is very conservative) and brought back the fondest memories of Japan. Undoubtedly cuisine of the highest standard, not Japanese Portuguese, but Japanese with Portuguese touches. But the service was on a completely different level. The professionalism and formal aspects of the service were on a par with any 3 star restaurant I have visited (and I have been to many), the warmth and friendliness were truly exceptional, and the information about the dishes and their links to Portugal was not just a marketing gimmick but helped to understand what the chef was trying to achieve. Add to that a very pleasant setting and (considering the quality) bargain prices, and you have a combination that is hard to beat. A real gem.
