Typical Portuguese resto with tons of seating and tons of waiters. I ordered their specialty dish Rui dos Pregos and it was great. Comes with so much rice or fries. Would come again. Oh, and the desserts are good!
My wife and myself have had the pleasure of having dinner at Rui dos Pregos in Belem. It was a really amazing experience. The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly. For appetizer, we had octopus salad and shrimp, they were super fresh and tasty. For main dish I had the Prego no Prato, simply the best dish in Portugal and my wife had a Bacalhau com Natas, super good as well. I really recommend that if you go to Lisbon, you have to go to this restaurant, it is near the Mosteiro of Jeronimos and near the Pastel de Belem. And I have to say that I was surpeised when i asked for the bill, it was a very good value for money! Must go!
Although I have been here for an inexpensive and quick dinner on occasion, this gem is usually reserved for that morning after hangover cure. Nothing like the prego plate to soothe that wicked headache after a long night out. The best thing about it is that it is consistent, so you always know exactly what you 're going to get. A plate of thin great quality steak, cooked to your liking, swimming in a beer butter garlic sauce that 's mouthwatering, with whole pieces of garlic with the skin still on topped with a fried egg, french fries and pickles and olives. Wash that down with a cold 7UP with lemon and ice, and BOOM, no more hangover! It 's truly a miracle cure! The service is always fast, no nonsense and friendly.
I loved this place. The food was soooooooooooooooo tasty. Big portions and so cheap. Was stuffed once I left.
