Cafe Da Villa - Sintra

For 8 euros you get a good plate of food which, all things considered, is very nice. However, there are a few things which have led me to give this a three star rating. 1) The menu is bizarre and eclectic. On the combos there are items not on the regular menu leaving you confused as to what you might order 2) The drinks list on the menu is also bizarre. No beer on the menu but they do serve beer? Strange 3) There are hidden charges for the bread which I find really shoddy. We are asked if we wanted bread and we said sure we will have bread and olives (1 euro 50 cents). We were deciding over whether to have butter or pate and were told that butter and pate would come but that we would be charged depending on what we ate. Sure. However, they charge a euro per little butter sachet. Also, some feta cheese came mixed among the olives. My partner had two small pieces, assuming it was part of the bread and olives, and was summarily charged 3 euro 50 cents. The feta was mixed in with the olives would they have just thrown it away if we hadn't touched it? A 1 euro 50 basket of bread turned into the price of a full meal. 4) Service was bizarre. We were sharing salt and pepper with another table, for example I would say to go if you want something quick, tasty and cheap go here and have a plate of food and nothing more. Otherwise, elsewhere.

Muito satisfatório. Ótimo restaurante, boa comida e atendimento impecável. Preços muito acessíveis. Bonus para a sua localização, mesmo no centro da vila.

Restaurante tradicional com uma decoração também tradicional. A Carne de Porco à Alentejana estava boa apesar das batatas fritas serem congeladas. O Cheesecake estava bem confecionado e era fresco. Em relação ao preço tive 30% de desconto porque fiz reserva através da The Fork, mas penso que se enganaram, o Couvert (pão e azeitonas) custou 5,60€ achei muito caro. Seria um 3.5 mas não havendo dou um 4
