The entrance to the Flemish restaurant left much to be desired, however, I opted for a glass of Chardonnay for 5€ which was frankly disappointing. I then tried a Chablis for 7€, which was barely satisfactory. For my main dish, I ordered the royal white cod with butter and algae from the suggestions. In the asparagus entrance to the Flemish, nothing to say, on the other hand, I took a glass of white wine (chardonnay) 5€, frankly not terrible, as result for the 2nd I took a chablis 7€, barely passable in the dish, in suggestions, a white cod of royal butter served with algae. as accompaniment, I first ask for croquettes, then I ask the purée server, he answers me that he doesn't know if they have them. I have lived nearby for 25 years and last night I made a reservation via email. I received a very prompt response. The dinner was a delightful surprise. The atmosphere was simple and welcoming. I have dined at this restaurant twice recently and have always enjoyed the dishes served and the atmosphere. It is a truly authentic Brussels brasserie with excellent service and a very nice kitchen. It is a great choice for a dinner for two, although it can get quite noisy on the terrace and lacks privacy inside. However, it is perfect for a nice dinner with colleagues or friends, with convenient parking available across the street. I will definitely be returning.
