Sushi Train - Singapore

Overall, the food is good and reasonably priced when compared to other fast sushi restaurants. They have a solid variety of sushi, grilled Japanese dishes, and more. All orders are made through their online platform by scanning a QR code. The more you order, the more you fill up an 'adventure gauge,' allowing you to play a mini-game for a chance to win a prize. In our case, our group won a can of cola each, but we could only redeem it after paying, which felt a bit awkward after finishing our meal. Nonetheless, I see a lot of potential in this concept.

I visited on April 24th and can't wait to go back! The jumbo scallop with cheese was amazing, and there was sauce inside that added extra flavor. The brown crab was delicious too! The sweet and sour salmon was quite filling, and the four thick slices of salmon sashimi were impressive. Their portions are definitely generous!

The food was quite good overall, though the variety could be better. It's a nice place with very friendly and helpful staff. The prices are reasonable—not overly expensive or cheap. They use a fun sushi train delivery system, which adds to the experience. I definitely recommend giving it a try for a fun night out!

I really love this place! I would definitely compare it to Genki. It's great for a quick sushi fix, offering a wide variety of options that go beyond the standard sushi menu found elsewhere. The sashimi portions were generous, although I would have preferred thinner slices. I especially enjoyed the mentaiko mussel and the fried Korean sushi roll. However, the trio salmon with the Korean sauce was a bit off; the flavors didn’t really work together, even though the salmon portion was substantial. The spicy tamago sushi was also a letdown—the sauce was quite unappealing. Our bill came to around $37 for two people, and we were very full by the end. On the downside, I did notice two ants crawling on my table, so a bit more cleaning would definitely be beneficial.
