Jiak Zhey is a vegetarian food kiosk inside Whitesands mall located at basement 1, next to Prima Deli. They serve all-time local favourites such as nasi lemak, vegetarian chicken rice, vegetarian duck rice, brown rice bento, rice dumplings, etc. They offer take away only; items are nicely packed in a box. We tried their chicken rice and brown rice bento. Their chicken rice is nicely done and serving portion is just right. Food is healthy, not salty or greasy. It's rare to see such vegetarian food kiosk inside a mall. Their food pricing is reasonable and acceptable based on their location and food quality. I was very disappointed because I ordered Nasi lemak but it did not come with any chilli.

Recently, I have been experiencing difficulties with the communication at this restaurant (even though the menu is very simple). The portion sizes are incredibly small, and to add to this disappointment, the duck was left out of the duck rice dish. Even after bringing this to their attention, they argued that it was mock duck and seemed more concerned with whether I understood that fact rather than apologizing for the mistake. It was a completely ridiculous and unsatisfactory experience.
