We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while returning from Cape Point during our holiday in Cape Town. The ambiance was very inviting, and the food was simply delightful. I ordered the squid, which I often try at seafood places, and I can confidently say it was one of the most delicious and tender dishes I've ever had. My boyfriend had the fish and chips, and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The service was outstanding; the staff was incredibly friendly. I hope to return someday!
This restaurant is absolutely stunning, with wonderful staff and the best burger I've ever tasted. I highly recommend it to everyone!
During my recent visit to Cape Town, the best dining experience I had was at the Lighthouse Cafe in Simon's Town. My daughter and I loved everything about the place: the fantastic food and top-notch service. We can't wait to return in 2018!
Best dinner in Southern Africa during our 8 weeks of travel! This was an incredible dining experience; everything we ordered was fantastic. The Moules Marinera was exceptional, rivaling the fresh mussels we cooked over a wood fire back home in Alaska. For our main courses, we chose the calamari steak strips and the local bouillabaisse, both of which were the best we’ve ever had. For those with dietary restrictions (specifically gluten-free), the staff was very knowledgeable and even has a dedicated fryer for French fries (chips) – they were some of the best fries we've had in ages. Our meal wasn’t complete without dessert, so we decided on the orange panna cotta, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly creamy with a delightful wobble. We also enjoyed a bottle of the house sauvignon blanc, which paired nicely with our meal. The service was excellent. When the bill arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find the total was just 700 rand, including tip – a true bargain!
Excellent service, lovely, friendly owners who take a proper hands-on approach with customers and cooking, food was above and beyond and the atmosphere was sweet, informal and quaint. Would absolutely eat here again. I recommend the Line fish and chips and ice-cream and chocolate sauce.
