If you've ever tasted pastrami in New York City, prepare to adjust your expectations before visiting this place! The pastrami was unseasoned, tough, and overly fatty. Here are a few things to keep in mind: a single sandwich and a small order of fries is more than enough for two average adults; the sandwiches automatically come with mustard and pickles, so make sure to specify if you don't want them. My wife and I have a tradition of exploring historic restaurants, and “The Hat” certainly has its share of history. However, I can't say that I'd come back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has had truly great pastrami before.
I had a meeting with my sister at this restaurant near her house. The burgers and fries were delicious, and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was a great time!
The classic pastrami dip is truly one of a kind, although it's not entirely unique since there are several locations to choose from. Or perhaps I should say, several places to enjoy it!
My wife and I visited for a late dinner and decided to try the pastrami burger. Although I usually opt for the pastrami dip, we were craving a burger this time. As always, it did not disappoint. The burger was overflowing with meat and came with the usual fresh toppings. We also ordered a small portion of their onion rings, which is almost enough to fill an entire paper bag. They were crispy and delicious, just like always. The Hat is always a great choice!
