If not for my eye appointment in Simi Valley, I wouldn't have found this gem of a place. My husband and I shared our plates, his all-time favorite New York Steak and Eggs and my Crabcake Benedict, one of their house specialties. I even ordered a Crabcake Benedict to-go for my hungry daughter waiting at home! Well-prepared, sumptuous and delightful brunch! The servers regularly checked in with us on how we're doing. Just nice and hardworking people who value their work and their clients. Thank you, The Egg House. Two thumbs up for the great food and the quality service!
Current review: I was here sitting for 35 mins to get served. If you like fast services this is not a place for you. There were probably 4 tables occupied when we got there. But, still the service was SLOW The soup of the Day was delicious thumbs up for that Previous: Slow service, eggs don't taste fresh, Love the Onion rings the price is just about right My husband likes it. Other than taking a long time to get our food, when we did get it, the food was very good and the service after that was very good. everything was nice and hot and very tasty. Huevos rancheros and eggs, bacon, pancake special.
Great breakfast. Busy and a little bit of a wait on a Sunday morning (so you know it's good). They offer a complimentary coffee while you wait for your food. If you're on a diet or concerned about fitness you can usually find options on a menu or adjust dishes. This place has finely-tuned dishes to suit your need. Very cool! Very fast service, friendly staff, nice crowd. Super fresh food and place is real clean. Thumbs up!
I can only speak to take-out, but I think that says a lot. The food is AMAZING. My personal favorites are the blintzes and Swedish pancakes (just like mom makes! , but nothing we’ve gotten has ever been bad. They did give away our order on accident once, but totally made up for it by remaking our food and giving us a gift card for next time. If the food is this good as take-out, I can only image how good it is dining in!
