Living in the Santa Clarita Valley, where NYC-style pizza is rare, we were thrilled to hear a Slice House was opening nearby. Eager to try it, we visited the Simi Valley location and couldn’t be happier with what’s in store. For me, a true, authentic NY-style cheese slice—thin, crispy, and perfectly balanced with sauce and cheese—is the gold standard. Many places offer pizza-shaped food, but few nail a perfect NYC slice like Slice House does. We also loved the Sweet Gino Grandma slice. Their menu features various styles—NY, Grandma, Detroit, Sicilian—each with unique characteristics (check their website for details). You can order any pizza on any style, providing lots of options for whole pies. However, when ordering by the slice, you’re limited to what’s in the display case. For vegetarians, if the available Detroit slice isn’t vegetarian, you have to order a whole pie to try it. This isn’t a big issue for me, as I look forward to exploring all their styles with whole pies and becoming a true Tony Gemignani enthusiast. It would be great to see vegetarian slice options across all styles for those spontaneous pizza slice emergencies. Aside from pizza, the menu also offers pasta, vegetarian sides, wine, beer, and Aperol for a full Italian experience. Ordering is at the counter, and your food is brought to your table. Slice House is set to revolutionize the pizza scene in the Santa Clarita Valley when it arrives here, and we’re grateful to have experienced it in Simi Valley. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We’re big fans of Slice House and happily drive out of our way to get there. The spot is charming, and the service is top-notch. You order at the counter, and your food arrives quickly. Whether you want a single slice or a whole pie, their thick crust is absolutely fantastic. My grandson’s go-to is their spaghetti—no matter if we’re dining in or taking it home, he insists on it. The portions are generous, and the spaghetti is freshly made with a tasty kick. I’m all about their thick crust pies and always leave with a large one. Any leftovers reheat beautifully. The restaurant is spotless, offers plenty of seating, prices are reasonable, and the food is outstanding. Honestly, what’s not to love? Recommended dishes: Meatball Sub, Detroit Style Motorhead Pizza, Pepperoni Slice, Little Italy Slice
