I then foun... read more I arrived at the self-checkout around 10 PM, hoping to quickly purchase some nectarines. Unfortunately, the system wouldn 't process my transaction. I then found myself waiting for a considerable ten minutes while a redheaded attendant engaged in a prolonged conversation with someone about a sign-up. When she finally approached, rather than assisting with my frozen transaction, she paused only to question whether my fruit was peaches or nectarines before returning to her conversation. This left me stranded for an additional five minutes. At that point, I simply had to ask myself, What 's the point of staying here? With no help in sight, I ultimately abandoned my purchase and left the store. It truly begs the question: What is the purpose of offering self-checkout if customer assistance is so readily deprioritized? Surely, the primary focus should be on aiding those attempting to use the service.

Other than the Walmart neighborhood store... read more I have given this Ralph’s several opportunities and have officially crossed it off my list of markets in Simi Valley. Other than the Walmart neighborhood store on Tapo, I am unaware of a worse grocery store in town. The staff leans on the check stands and leans near the front desk and act like they can’t be bothered to help you; the produce department is understaffed and too large, and the product is often rotting on the shelves because they don’t have enough people to rotate the stock; The center store is a mess and products are often off the shelf. The self check out is busy because dealing with the machines yourself is a far better experience than the checkers. If Ralph’s actually cared about the experience in the store, they would have done something a long time ago. However, with the new higher rates that they are paying their staff, they have obviously cut back to the bare minimum and what’s left aren’t great at their jobs.
