Bluefin Grill Sushi - Simi Valley

We were a party of five adults and two infants, and we arrived on time for our reservation. Unfortunately, it took over an hour for our food to be delivered, and one of the dishes was incorrect, which we were charged for. We had ordered sushi and inquired about getting additional dishes, only to be told it would take over 30 minutes. We ended up leaving hungry, and the owner provided some unsatisfactory excuses. This will be our last visit.

The food was excellent, but the service left much to be desired, which is why I’m rating it 3 stars. While we were there, it wasn't very busy, yet we hardly saw our waitress. I had to wait quite a while just to get a drink refill, and when I wanted to order dessert, it took some time as well. The food truly is fantastic, but the service can be inconsistent.

When you see the name Grill and Sushi, you might expect yakitori, but it's more akin to a Daily Grill experience. It's the only restaurant where I've been served bread rolls before my sushi! That said, everything was delicious. We ordered only sushi, aside from some bow tie pasta for our baby. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, too.

Wow this was awful. Tiny portions, everything soaked in sugary sauce with no flavor. My dinner salad had exactly one cherry tomato cut in half, four slivers of cucumber, a thumbnail size of bleu cheese, and about an eighth of a slice of bacon. Couldn’t even eat the chicken lettuce wrap because the sauce was overwhelmingly sweet.

This is one of the best seafood, Stew, soup, sushi, salad and etc. resturant In the town, Clean, reasonable price, friendly, excellent quality and quantity, roomy and clean dinning room. Khosro is a great chef. Give him and yourself a chance and enjoy the food along with reasonable price. I am a chef myself and worked in NYC Manhattan. Dear Khoso, I wish you and your family the best.
