Does not stand out physically and a little tricky to locate but food and service are first class. Took a group of 12 for lunch and everyone was very pleased with all aspects of the visit. We will be sure to return with the wraps and perch dinners both leading contenders for our next delightful meals! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Simcoe Arms:
Upon arrival, we were seated quickly and drink orders were taken. When the drinks arrived, the server asked if we were ready to order or would like a few more minutes. Since this was our first visit, we wanted a bit more time to look at the menu. After 15 full minutes waiting for her to return, and while watching two other tables being seated and having their orders taken AND DELIVERED, we felt we should ask if it wa... View all feedback.

The drink selection is impressive, and the menu offers a variety of options (slightly pricey, but that's common these days). While the service could be quicker, keep in mind that you're at a sit-down restaurant, so it's not something to complain about. Overall, it's a solid local pub.
Fantastic pub food . The wings are amazing and the wraps are huge! Lots of good local beer on tap.
I want to leave a better rating but this place is so hit and miss and inconsistent that it's just not possible to go higher than 3. I've had 1-star experiences and 5-star experiences so I figured 3-stars was fair. This place is nice. Very cozy, very well laid out, very welcoming. I'd go so far as to say it's the nicest pub in town. Heck, maybe even the nicest pub in Norfolk. Now the inconsistency part..... There's always just one thing wrong when I go here. And I've been here many many times. One time the service will suck, one time the beer is flat, one time your order is wrong, one time it takes way too long to get your food, one time your food straight up is not good and so on. It's these falters that keep The Arms from being at the top of my go-to list as I'm always wary of what the glitch will be with each visit. But having said that, the food and service and overall experience are generally good and it's certainly worth a visit.
This pub has great atmosphere and creative offerings such as the spicy mushroom and rice soup of the day I had with my Lake Erie Perch crispy Po'Boy. I wish there was a little less drippy mayonnaise on my Po'Boy but other than that, pretty good. The mushroom and rice soup is unlike any I've tasted before and came with plenty of mushrooms. My oldest girl ordered Steak Pie with mashed potatoes and it actually came with its own gravy boat! My youngest enjoyed a hearty spaghetti and meatballs and hubby got Bangers and Mash. This is a decent pub if you are driving through Simcoe.

I found the Chicken Cordon Bleu to be just okay. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes and vegetables were cold. I mentioned this to the waitress, and she took them back to the kitchen, only to return them after being heated in the microwave instead of providing fresh sides. While I didn't make a big deal out of it, I was still disappointed. When they came back, they were only slightly warm. This seems to be a recurring issue in the kitchen, as it looks like they serve the mashed potatoes and vegetables while waiting for the meat to finish cooking, causing the sides to cool down. It would help to preheat the plates or find a better way to ensure the food stays warm; otherwise, you're going to lose customers. Given this experience, I won't be leaving a tip.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! I dined in for dinner, and the price per person was around CA$20–30.
I had a wonderful time with friends at this restaurant. The service was quick and our server was friendly and happy to chat with us. The prices were reasonable as well. For our dine-in dinner, we spent about CA$40–50 per person. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 4 out of 5. I highly recommend the nachos, fish and chips, and chicken wings!

Yes, they provide water and the staff is friendly. Our food was served promptly and was fresh, hot, and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for a casual meal.
The food is excellent at this restaurant. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming. The fish and chips are delicious. The staff is friendly and provides good service.
My friend and I both ordered the Big Smokeburger, and we found it to be quite dry with very little flavor. It was supposed to come with chipotle aioli, but it tasted more like BBQ sauce. The fries were tasty, but they seemed like they were frozen and not freshly made. Despite the food issues, all of the staff were friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is about the quality of the food.
Agree with the other evaluation. Why can't I get a glass of lead water. why I have to pay 2.00 for a bottle of water. the prices are high and now they charge for water. hey, we're all together.
Super annoyed that they no longer provide glasses of water. You have to buy a bottle of water at a 2$ charge. My husband and I ordered drinks, hot wings and other appetizers. I asked for a glass of water to go with my red...winer and the waitress rudely told me that they charge 2 s for bottles of water and that they no longer have water by the glass.
