Contribute Feedback What Afton Hoeger likes about Blue Elephant Craft Brew House:
We both ordered from the special menu and chose steak pot pie which came with a side dish of potato or a salad. I decided on fries with a side of gravy and Dave ordered the garlic mashed potatoes. It was all very good and we tried some craft beers and I had one that had a slight strawberry flavour. I noticed some ladies who had ordered a salad plate and it looked very good as well and they both finished everything on... View all feedback.
What Flo Lockman doesn't like about Blue Elephant Craft Brew House:
Stopped here on a Thursday evening while visiting from the Niagara area. Sat outside on the patio, nice suroundings. Service was excellent. Now the food. We had burgers, I had fries and my wife had the ceasar salad. Big disappointment.... patties were pre frozen not made in house. Fries were frozen not fresh cut. Salad was good. Craft beer was good. We also had the spring role appetizers they were pretty good. This w... View all feedback.
Unique dining experience in the Town of Simcoe. tables and seats rustic but comfortable. Cuisine near top of the scale. Must stop for any food loving explorers.
Place was packed and the reviews were great. We were seated in a door way... and there were other better tables available. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers available. I ordered the basic burger, the fries were warm to cold, most likely having sat too long under a warming lamp far too long... the burger was average, not what I had expected from the recommendations we had received. My partner ordered the penne which, as she put it, she has made better at home.... big disappointment . The floor was littered with food and debris, obviously it was an off night for the carpet sweeper too.
Last weekend, we were heading to Waterford town but decided to hit some craft beer stores. We drove from Port Dover then to Simcoe. It was around lunch time so we decided to have our lunch first, then check-out their beer. First stop: Blue Elephant Craft Brew House . The store was on the right side of the restaurant/bar. The food was great but a bit disappointed with the Tom Yum (seafood) soup. I found it so salty for my liking. The salmon soup was so creamy & yummy! The bruschetta was delicious as well. The Greek salad was so fresh & perfect size! The Club sandwich was just okay, as per my husband. My husband didn't do the samples 'cause he was driving. He ordered for the Rhubbarb Session craft beer & it was pretty good! A nice summery afternoon berr, is how described it. Over all, I'll give this restaurant a 4+. Service was good. Place was clean. I'll definitely come back! :)
We have been going the Blue Elephant for probably 15 year. Absolutely love the food, We have however found the the whole place has become a noisy pub which is fine if that's the atmosphere you like. The upstairs used to be more of a fine dining atmosphere and very quiet. That has now changed so we will be no longer be going there for a romantic dinner for 2 but for a night out when we want some noise
We were in the area picking up a parcel and we googled a place to eat and this came up. I was a bit tentative when we went in the front door as it was a roadhouse setting and we were there for lunch not to drink. The server was very honest and nice. I ordered the salmon sandwich with a Caesar and my wife had the fish and chips. We started out with the hummas and pita bread. Everything was off the hook. My sandwich was recommended by the server. I originally ordered the steak sandwich but she said she preferred the salmon. It was excellent. The patio was nice and clean. Also I ordered a jacked up lemonade and it was bang on. If you are thinking of going here trust me it is good pub food.
