A great 'local' place which serves local food. The lamb chops were amazing. Full of locals and airconditioned so perfect on the very hot day.Good atmosphere. They offered a daily special dish with a soup starter and then mackerel or veal casserole for 8 euros, amazing value.Would definitely recommend. View all feedback.
What Matias Leal doesn't like about Restaurante Tasca do Béné:
Went here in our first night in Silves on recommendation of lonely planet which describes the restaurant as having a great reputation. Food was just average at best, service was terrible with the waiters making you feel like you put them out when ordering for food. With football on two large tv's in the restaurant it wasnt the authenticity that we expected View all feedback.
Eating was good, hot and tasty, friendly staff, would eat there again. the place was quite busy and seemed good for young families, very interesting transitions, much to see.
Eating was good, steak was great, but very disappointed by personal manage. we waited first for a table and then waited almost 10 minutes for order - no courtesy for customers.
Visited last week with my brother at our annual visit in silves we found the staff very rude, and we have the impression that they did not want to be there and there was dress code equal. the food was average.
Traditional decor, relatiw busy all the signs were good, but eating was poor steak was hard and when the waiter said it came with chips, they were in the did fighting such a strange idea. house wine was the only division...Grace
I’m not sure why so many have given a poor rating, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great food and one of the nicest wines I’ve tasted from Algarve. We couldn’t fault it.
