Contribute FeedbackThe Oregon Garden Resort provides a range of dining experiences that, unfortunately, seem to vary widely. Some guests have found the atmosphere unwelcoming, citing difficult access and a lack of views from the dining area. Minimal and uninspired menu options have left diners disappointed. However, there are positive reviews highlighting stellar meals and attentive service, particularly praising the ribeye steak and seafood dishes. Many appreciate the serene setting, despite concerns about recent storm damage to the garden. Overall, while some praise the culinary offerings, consistency in service and ambiance remains a concern for many.
Oregon gardens resort garden view restaurant is very nice. Quaint. Most all tables with a view. They were friendly. Good food and wine. It’s located inside the hotel. We considered going back a second night.
Had a lovely dinner at the Garden View Restaurant when we stayed at the Oregon Gardens Resort to celebrate our anniversary. Patio seating is available, buit we opted for seating inside. Sat at a comfortable booth that looked out into the patio area . Food was very good; service was excellent. Though menu is not extensive, there specials for the day, so I selected the baby back ribs, which were delicious. Generous serving; well prepared. My wife opted for the Chicken Piccata, which she enjoyed. We shared a glass of chardonnay and had coffee with dessert. Decided to stay again at the resort, and when we did, we would have dinner at the Garden View.
After making and confirming reservations for a group of up to 20, upon arrival we were told that had no reservation! Although the restaurant was nearly empty, we were told it was doubtful that if we were placed at tables, it was doubtful we would get served. As we were leaving to find last minute accommodation for our tour group, the Governor of Oregon, Tina kotex, arrived and was escorted into the private dining room our group had reserved. This restaurant has no integrity and I would highly recommend you plan alternatives for your dining pleasure. We did, 5 minutes away in Downtown Silverton where resturants were welcoming, efficient and provided a far better variety of menu choice that The Garden View.Further, I am sure the Governor of Oregon, who walked by senior residents of Oregon, would be embarrassed if she knew this senior tour was turned away because they chose to cater to her over a group of seniors who has made and confirmed a reservation. In my opinion, this is also a very poor business decision. The staff we encounter were rude, non responsive, and treated the Seniors with disrespect and disdane!
Made reservations. Arrived on time. My family of 4 were sat promptly— then nobody came to the table .. after 20 minutes we got up and left .. and the host said “thanks for coming!” (With a confused look) Wow. Nobody even brought us a water .. I had to leave as my 3 year old was hungry and impatient. I’m very upset. As I was leaving I let a waitress know and she said “ok I’ll tell someone” and walked away indifferently. Just frustrating. I wanted a nice dinner with my family. Please don’t let this happen again to another family. And no, they weren’t busy at all as it’s a Monday evening.
Elegant dining with refined staff and excellent food.We came down for an Easter dinner date. The view was good. The food was absolutely excellent. The service was attentive yet demure.Vegetarian options: My religion requires vegetarianism several days a year.
