Romero's Y Cantina - Silverton

Note at the time of my review (Spring, 2018 , 19 OUT OF 39 REVIEWS FOR ROMERO 'S RESTAURANTE Y CANTINA ARE ONE STAR REVIEWS!!! That should tell any reader of these words something significant. I should have checked the reviews before eating at Romero 's in Silverton. I 'm embarrassed now to admit how bad, and uninformed the choice was to eat here. I love mole ' chicken so I ordered it here. After tasting my meal, I called the server over to say I got the wrong order because it wasn 't mole '. Her answer was that 's how we do mole ' . Wow, really? I 've made my own and eaten a LOT of mole ', and this just tasted like shredded chicken with Cisco enchilada sauce poured on top of it. I then tasted a regular chicken burrito off another order on our table, and guess what ... It was the exact same (lack of any flavor chicken. We couldn 't tell the difference between the mole ' chicken and plain ol ' chicken burrito. They were out of so much stuff, including menudo along with any draft beer and even Corona in the bottles. I 'm guessing they are going out of business (I hope so! so this is probably a moot review. Way expensive and nothing more than a frozen Swanson Mexican plate that would cost $3 at the grocery store. Absolutely no flavor other than blaaaaand yuckiness, so I guess that 's about the same as no flavor.

First time in Silverton, well Colorado in general, and decided to come to this restaurant for dinner. I couldn't believe the ratings when I saw it.. couldn't believe that it wasn't rated higher! This is the best Mexican food that I've had outside of Mexico, and I work on a cruise ship and go to Mexico every week so I would know! The margaritas were super fresh and so delicious and the chile relleno was phenomal ! And also some of the best salsa and chile con queso I've ever had ever, and I'm from Texas so I'm picky about that! I'm only staying in Colorado a few days, but will definitely be back again before I leave. OH and great service to boot! Thanks, y'all !!!

Wonderful homemade Mexican. The guac is great. Only complaint is the salsa. Wish it were chunky. Fish tacos are grilled and yummy.

I had the chicken stacked enchiladas, they were great! Good atmosphere and service. I've eaten here over the years and have always been happy with the experience.

Terrible! Ordered food to go. The beans were absolute paste, no flavor at all. Tacos were ****. My advice, stay away. I hate to slam a local business, but I had to.
