After our favorite Chinese restaurant closed, we decided to give SILVER FOUNTAIN a try, and we definitely won’t be returning! The restrooms were dirty, and the food was disappointing. My wife ordered the tofu, while I went for the kung pao chicken. The tofu looked appealing but lacked any flavor, and my kung pao chicken was mostly made up of fillers like canned peas, green peppers, and red peppers, with only a few pieces of chicken scattered throughout. How can it be called kung pao chicken when it has so little chicken in it? The main ingredients seemed to be peas and peanuts, with chicken being the least represented. I can’t stand peas and have never encountered them in a Chinese dish before. They should really rename it kung pao peas! The only decent thing we had were the egg rolls, which were fresh. However, we can’t guarantee you’ll get a fresh one if there’s a soggy one sitting around. Overall, the restaurant’s menu seems to rely heavily on cheap fillers. I would recommend avoiding this place.
I went to this restaurant for a graduation party. The graduate picked out a bunch of her favorite dishes for everyone to enjoy. The menu had a nice variety of options. Our group included different types of eaters, and the service was excellent. However, one or two dishes weren’t prepared properly, and one beef dish tasted sour. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed a wide selection of food at the party.
This was one of the best Chinese dinners I've ever had. The piles of fresh vegetables were well-prepared and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the shrimp in brown sauce and the sesame chicken, along with the garlic green beans.
