I have been going to this restaurant for over 50 years, and the quality has remained consistently excellent. While the prices have gone up, the delicious food is worth every penny. Velatis is the home of my favorite candy!! Vanilla sugar caramels (some people call them English caramels) with cashews. I have been going to Velatis for more than 40 years and enjoy the sugar and chewy caramels, vanilla or chocolate, with and without nuts. Their sweet selection includes chewy caramels with marshmallow.Velatis also has delicious chocolates and special confections for most holidays.
I've been going to this establishment for quite some time. And Miss Amy is by far the most amazing person to speak with over there and has an excellent eye for making chocolate desserts as well as artistic desserts. the chocolate shoe that she had was absolutely perfect for my wife's Valentine's Day. everyone should at least stop in to get chocolate truffles or a chocolate dessert with them because it is worth the visit.
