This cozy restaurant is conveniently situated right by the Silver Spring Metro stop, next to the NOAA buildings. With reasonable prices, it's a great spot to enjoy a meal. Although the menu is somewhat limited, featuring typical deli items, the food is excellent if you can visit during their short hours. The staff is friendly, striking a nice balance without being overly familiar. It's definitely a better option than grabbing a sandwich at Giant across the street!
'Tis Cafe is conveniently situated just a block from the Silver Spring Metro station (exit the Metro onto East-West Avenue and head away from Colesville Road). They have just opened, and I'm so glad they did! Serving breakfast and lunch until 4 PM, the food here is EXCELLENT! The bread is among the best I've tasted at a lunch café in a long time, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. They were actually carving the turkey fresh right as I was placing my order, and the toppings (like lettuce and tomato) were incredibly fresh. They also offer a great selection of coffees and have some impressively large cookies. Overall, it's a fantastic new spot!
This charming little café in downtown Silver Spring is a gem! They offer a wonderful selection of delicious and healthy sandwiches, wraps, and salads—definitely far superior to other sandwich options in the area. I always opt for their wraps, as the bread and ingredients are incredibly fresh. They frequently have freshly roasted turkey, ham, and beef available. There are also many intriguing salads that I'm eager to try someday. The café has been recently renovated and looks fantastic. They have a nice variety of cookies, drinks, and dark chocolate for afternoon snacks as well!
