Last weekend was our first time dining in the restaurant and ordering from the menu, and it was fantastic. The rockfish portion was around 4 ounces, which is smaller than what you might get at a typical chain restaurant, but it was beautifully plated, high quality, and delicious. They also did an amazing job with my wife's BBQ chicken. Afterward, we went across the street to Moorenko for dessert, so I can't speak to Jackie’s dessert offerings. Your cocktails never disappoint—I’ve had dozens, and they've all been great. The service was impeccable (thank you, Robin!). Go ahead and visit; you won’t regret it!

Aside from Monday evenings and Sunday brunch, the rest of the week features only small, bland, and overpriced dishes that leave you unsatisfied. I really hope the owner takes this feedback to heart because many others likely share my view. The vibrant atmosphere and great dinner/drink menu available on Monday nights are a real highlight for Silver Spring!

Got to the place 5 minutes early before opening, and still got service. Very nice and clean interior. Sat at the bar, the bartender Paul was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable of the food and drinks. Apps, main course, and dessert were very good, especially for the price. I'm not from DC, but if you are from this area or staying at a hotel nearby, I highly recommend this place.

I love that they focus on using local, fresh ingredients in preparations that aren't fussy or too out of the box. It's like good home cooking taken up a notch. I enjoy their pop tarts at brunch; they're buttery, flaky and filled with raspberry jam or nutella (you may get two different ones in 1 basket). And their café nights on Mondays are so worth the price fried chicken with potato salad and collard greens for $15? Yes, yes and yes.

A bar staff that works hard to remember your name and favorite drink. Monday nights are half priced menu nights.
