Contribute FeedbackMi Rancho offers a unique take on Mexican cuisine, with a steak burrito that may be a hit or miss depending on one's preferences. The restaurant is popular for its lively atmosphere on Fridays, with delicious Carne Asada and white Sangria pitchers. Patrons rave about the authentic Mexican flavors, particularly the beef fajitas and seafood soup. The outdoor dining area is a popular spot, perfect for enjoying Happy Hour. While some dishes, like the enchiladas, may not hit the mark, the friendly service, fresh ingredients, and vegetarian options make Mi Rancho a top choice for families looking for flavorful Tex-Mex fare.
My Friday trip. I love this place! I always ask for my Carne Asada and share a white Sangria pitcher with my staff. Has no Happy Hour Specials, but the pitcher is definitely a bargain. The service was fast. The terrace is very lively Fridays and many people eat here, I will definitely be back soon!
Great Food and Atmosphere. We are Rio Grande fans, but I think the beef fajitas are better at MiRancho. The salsa is good, but I like the chunky, roasted salsa at Rio Grande better. We were there on a very cold night and sat outside in the plastic enclosure, which is the best place to be, but the heaters can make the room a little too hot. There is nothing like heading over to Mi Rancho for Happy Hour outside.
I keep coming back. Mi Rancho is a long-time favorite restaurant to which I keep returning. I often wonder why it 's not rated more highly among the Washington area 's TexMex restaurants, for I find that the food is consistently good, with many special items that cannot be found in other Mexican restaurants (e.g. the seafood soup, mesquite grilled fish, etc. , and their paper thin tortilla chips are the best I 've ever eaten. The atmosphere, is laid-back and festive, great for families and couples alike--especially the huge outdoor dining area. My only criticism is that their margueritas seem to come purchased in a bottle premixed, rather than freshly made. All in all it 's nice to find a real restaurant located away from the plasticity of Silver Spring 's Franchise Row.
Wow. This was a great experience. The food was out of this world. If your looking for quiet night, this is not the place, but if you looking for a place with great food and family oriented it is. Went when it was little colder and the patio was enclosed. The portions were large and very tasty. Prices were reasonable for the amount and quality of food.
Fresh ingredients and very friendly service made our group of 10+ very happy. The soft tacos were filled with perfectly seasoned beef and the ceviche was tart and crisp. Chips and fresh pico de gallo salsa were always kept full at the table. On a hot summer night their patio is the perfect place to be. Try the sangria!
