Locavino blends a wine shop and small café into a cozy, tasting‑room atmosphere in Silver Spring. With an extensive local and international wine and beer selection, late happy hour and friendly, accommodating staff, it’s a popular spot for after‑work drinks, casual lunches and takeout. Crowd favorites include the Gouda burger and penne pesto, though some dishes and service quality are inconsistent and there have been isolated safety concerns. Limited parking and no reservations are drawbacks, but affordable prices and civic‑square views keep it a neighborhood favorite.
I didn't realize this place had replaced Adega's. It didn't feel as polished as Adega's but it was a great place to grab dessert and socialize with some friends.
Great spot. Jerk wrap is amazing. Mango, avocado, jerk chicken ?. Smoked salmon avocado toast ? Beer selection ??
This is one of our favorite places to eat in downtown Silver Spring and they have been in our regular rotation for date night dinner delivery during the pandemic. The food is great, and in person the restaurant is cozy, you can pop in to buy wine and beer by the bottle and can, and the staff is always incredibly nice and friendly.
