Nestled in downtown Silver Spring, Ikko Sushi stands out for its exceptional quality and welcoming atmosphere. Diners rave about the freshness of the seafood, with standout dishes like the seafood salad, spicy tuna roll, and various sushi combos consistently impressing patrons. The attentive staff provide excellent service, ensuring a cozy dining experience, whether you choose to dine in or carry out. Vegetarian options abound, making it a family-friendly destination, complemented by nearby public parking. Though some may experience longer wait times during peak hours, the quality and taste of the food make it well worth the visit.
If you haven't tried this place yet, I suggest doing so as soon as possible! The food is excellent, with a very attentive, kind, and friendly staff. The sushi combos and chef specials are some of my favorite dishes to enjoy. And don't forget to try the Sapporo and hot sake combo - it's a must! Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.
This restaurant in Silver Spring has the best sushi! We visited late on a Friday night and tried the Nigri sushi combo with two extra rolls - the caterpillar and salmon lover rolls. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious! The rolls are generously-sized, making it a great value. They are unique without being too over-the-top or fusion-y. The sushi was served with fantastic service in a stylish interior. We will definitely be returning, as this is now our go-to spot!
Vegetarian options: I follow a vegan diet and found the vegetable and avocado rolls to be excellent. Kid-friendliness: They offer Japanese sodas that my kids really enjoyed. The waiter even made chopsticks that my kids could easily use (ages 5 and 10). They loved the food and finished everything on their plates. The mango mochi dessert was a big hit with them as well. Parking: There is a public parking lot conveniently located nearby.
The waitstaff were very attentive. The sushi was super fresh and delicious. We went post graduation for my son and he was excited to order a Party Boat. It was well worth the cost and quite impressive. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This is the best value sushi in Silver Spring. The fish is fresh and clean, the service is very good, and they have outdoor space near the NOAA wave pool. They are ground floor retail, and an easy walk from all of downtown. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
