**Dining Delight: A Journey Through Culinary Cultures**
Nestled in Silver Spring, this vibrant restaurant offers a tantalizing blend of Ethiopian and Indian cuisines. Diners report a mixed bag of experiences. While many rave about the fresh, flavorful dishes—like the Chicken Tikka Masala and tender goat—others lament inconsistent service, with some servers seeming disconnected or inattentive. Despite these service hiccups, the welcoming ambiance and involvement of the owner shine through, creating a unique dining atmosphere. With generous portions and reasonable prices, this establishment is poised to be a go-to for ethnic food lovers, promising both delicious meals and memorable moments.

I never do reviews but I had to come here to share. As someone who LOVES Indian food, this is false advertisement. I order shrimp biryani and got rice that was barely seasoned. You could tell someone dumped plain white rice in a mix of salt and brown food coloring and then added a teaspoon of almond slices and 2-3 raisins. It wasn’t mix right and you could see white chunks of rice in a few spots. No depth to the flavor and barely any flavor at all. Where is the cumin? Where is the savory and sweet spice blend? This very disappointing and needs to be taken off your menu.

The food was great! Especially loved the Ethiopian food. The staff was super friendly and the cook came out and explained the Ethiopian food we were eating. Don't get that very often. What fun! The place is very clean and the food comes out prettyquickly. I highly recommend the place and I'll be taking my family there again. Also very convenient that it was open late on aSunday.
I love this place! The service is very fast and the server was extremely kind. The food tastes fresh and you get a lot of food for the reasonable pricing. Plus the atmosphere when I came was old school r&b (Lauren Hill) which is always a great vibe. Iwill definitely be coming back!
My husband and 20 year old son dined here for the first time on Sunday. The food was sooooo good and the staff incredibly friendly. We tried both Ethiopian and Indian dishes and were so impressed. We will definitely be back! The picture I'm postingis mid-meal. I highly recommend the ochra on the Indian menu.
My coworker and I came in for a late dinner after a long day. We got more than we expected! We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the food and certainly the service. This is our new go-to restaurant whenever we work in Silver Spring.
My husband and our 20-year-old son had our first dining experience here on Sunday. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. We sampled both Ethiopian and Indian dishes and were thoroughly impressed. We will certainly be returning! The photo I'm sharing is taken midway through our meal. I highly recommend the okra from the Indian menu.

I hate to leave negative comments but it happens for the second time, so I want to share my experience, I order butter chicken last time and it contains really big pieces of chicken and they completely uncooked, I ordered the same dish next time and when I reached home the chicken stink so bad that I can’t even believe they serving the food which already go and stick so much, so they loose my business ?? not going back to this place again.
The restaurant has a delightful atmosphere with very friendly staff, delicious food, and an impressive bar. I had a fantastic experience there and highly recommend it!
I have to admit, locating this restaurant was a bit tricky. However, once we found it, the food was delicious! The tandoori chicken and spicy wings were fantastic, with a wonderful mix of flavors and seasonings. If you're in the area, definitely check it out!
The staff were very Arrogent and once I dialed their number to order a person use abusive language on the phone
Imagine not eating all day and ordering the butter chicken. When you receive it, it tastes like tomato soup with old chicken. You asked for it extra spicy and it is the mildest tomato soup you’ve ever tasted. Just walk the extra two blocks to the better Indian restaurant because this is a disgrace, and I am so upset that I wasted my money here.

Unforgettable experience, Service was terrible, server didn't know how to explain the menu. Water never was offered, food was served cold untasted . I love Ethiopia/Indian food is completely rich -great testé but this place is far to offer it
Wow I'm impressed! I actually was on my way to another restaurant and the owner came out and spoke to us and invited us in. The food smelled good so we sat down. I ordered the veggie combo and it was delicious! I can be picky about Ethiopian because I only really like one spot in MD but this really met my standard! Everything was traditional from the decor, the dishes they used and even the music. I was grateful for the outstanding customer service and would love to come back
I love Indian food (and normally Nepali food as well), but I was very disappointed recently with our experience. The waiter was curt and looked very much like he didn't want to be there. He didn't ask us about spice level, and I probably should have inquired about that as the food came back with literally no spice or flavor IMO. He didn't refill water until our glasses were empty, which I would have been ok with if the place was packed, but it was empty. The chicken was over cooked and when we asked the waiter of we could split our meal by two credit cards, he sighed and looked annoyed. Once again, the place was empty. I don't mind suboptimal service if the food is great, but this wasn't worth it at all. Oh the portion was tiny and price higher than the place I normally go to for Nepali food.
Really Nice environment and food. Wonderful Services and lots of Indian and Ethiopean food options

Now, onto the food. I started with the Furaula and Momo, and I was absolutely thrilled. You could tell that the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully prepared. For my main course, I had the goat, which was seasoned to perfection and incredibly tender. I paired it with paratha, which complemented the dish perfectly. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
I absolutely adore this place. It's family-owned, and the food is incredibly delicious with fantastic service that gives it a unique charm. It's not glamorous, but it's cozy and inviting. Small businesses like this really need our support to thrive. We sat outside and had a great time chatting with people passing by, watching a stunning sunset, and soaking in the vibrant sounds of the city. It feels like a little piece of Europe.
We spent three days in Silver Spring and came across Ghare Kabab on Google. It’s definitely the best Indian restaurant in the area! The Chicken Tikka Masala was amazing—one of the best dishes I've ever had. The portion sizes were generous as well. I highly recommend Ghare Kabab. Looking forward to my next visit!
Excellent Indian food. All the usual suspects you would expect. Very casual atmosphere
