Forest Glen Commissary
Description
The Forest Glen Commissary is currently temporarily closed for building evaluations due to a safety concern within the facility. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure your safety. Please continue to check this page for the latest updates regarding the reopening. In the meantime, we invite you to visit the Fort Myer Commissary located at 523 Carpenter Rd Building 409, Fort Myer, VA 22211. You can also take advantage of our convenient Commissary CLICK2GO service by selecting Fort Myer as your store. To better serve you during the closure, a special CLICK2GO drop-off event is held every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Forest Glen. Simply place your order online at shop.commissaries.com, choose Fort Myer as your store, proceed to checkout, select Switch to Drop-Off, and pick Forest Glen as your drop-off location. Please note that this is a pay-online event only; do not select pay in store. Although the Forest Glen store is closed, we continue to offer great savings on grocery staples such as bread, eggs, milk, and more. Thanks to additional funding from the Department of Defense, many grocery items at commissaries nationwide are now 3-5% cheaper to help strengthen the economic security of military families. For your questions or special order requests, our friendly Customer Service team remains available and ready to assist you. You can reach Customer Service at extension 4000, or contact other departments including Meat (x3007), Grocery (x3009), Produce (x3008), and Deli (x3027). We thank you for your loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to Forest Glen once the evaluations are complete. Until then, please make use of Fort Myer and our CLICK2GO services for your grocery needs.

The entrance is not accessible; this map directs you to an area with no access to the military base.
Forest Glen Commissary isn’t the top choice in the area, but it’s convenient since it’s close to my home. The food often seems to be past its expiration date, and the variety is limited. Lately, we've been shopping at Andrew’s or Fort Belvoir instead, as they offer a much wider selection and fresher options.
