Traditional Maryland seafood has been served at this restaurant since 1945. My mother, who was raised in Cambridge, MD in the 1920s and 1930s, appreciates the authentic Eastern Shore Maryland style that is showcased here. View all feedback.
What Karen R doesn't like about Crisfield Seafood:
The soft shell crabs were dry and shriveled, and the fish on my husband's sandwich was tasteless. The tartar and cocktail sauces were watery. The baked potatoes were cold, brown, and overcooked. View all feedback.
The crab sandwich is amazing!!! Coleslaw is great!! The service was solid. Good price.
As always they come through with a good meal, although the seafood bisque this time was somewhat different, I would say the cook still gets the slope of the recipe, after almost 30 years of ordering the same thing, the 70 miles drive (I don't live in Silver Spring) was still worth it.
That's a diamond. This Silver Spring, MD, landmark has the test of time. Do not be fooled by its rough exterior, these frozen time walls keep in all tastes and goodness of traditional American coast cuisine. Just the best meal I had on the D.C. area, Crisfield stole my heart with its healthy portions and friendly service. I was put down a bit when I realized that the parking lot in the area were photos for the closed garage next door, but we were cautiously told that we could park there. This is a quintessible example of the quirkyness of this 70-year-old farm. The charm is in the beautiful and delicate aromas revealed under the hard exterior. After sitting, all this place will remind you of your kooky relatives on holidays. Here's a feeling of home. From the possibility to scream in the parking lot in the neighbors, steal the homemade hot sauce because the retired bartender refuses to give you the recipe (or sell some). All this is lovingly sewn together into the perfect package through the amazing food! The seafood is fresh and juicy. I tried both seafood combinations, one fried, the other bruised and I fell in love. Lobster, crab, shrimp, fish... don't let me start over the sides. Best frits and baked potatoes I've had for years. The Koleslaw was the perfect balance of creamy, sweet and sour. I told you about the bread, yes, I'm talking about good old fresh dinner. I had my doubts about the door. It is not the most beautiful place, and the outer wall smells vaguely to Urin. When we got into it, there was a slight constipation that smells of age and better times. But we had no better time for a lot of money. There are only no hiding places, and Crisfield is! Yeah, it looks like it's been there since the 50s (because it has), but there's a reason. Look at the pictures and you'll know. I just have to say, come on! The food will not disappoint you.
Oldie but Goodie!! Been visiting this place since the eighties! Above average seafood. Mid pricey. Ex. 3 stuff shrimp plate/fries $30. However, sooo delicious! Place hasn't been remodeled since the 90's. Not offering indoor dining right now. Sorry for taking the pic so late but just wanted to give an idea of portion size.
