All of the locals eat here, so we decided to give it a try. The Mexican dishes were very good! One of the most authentic chile rellenos I've had in the U.S, and the tamal masa was super light! Bargain prices as well. View all feedback.
What Cat ABQ doesn't like about Nancy's Silver Cafe:
Wasn't sure what to order so tried a combo plate with green chile. There wasn't much chile, and what was there was very bland no heat whatsoever. And the sopapillas tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the fish. Not sure what I should have ordered that's getting the good reviews, but this wasn't it. View all feedback.
Just perfect, the simple place as it's been for a long time food is pretty good, service is impeccable , experience was super nostalgic. I should have had the chili but the tamale was good, too

Been around for over 60 years, family-owned and run. Probably the best place in our county for hand made NM cuisine. Open only a few days a week from 2 to 7. We love it.
It's a little diner tucked in the center of downtown Silver City, NM. A local favorite and our favorite place in all of Silver City to eat. Not fancy... booths along the walls and a few tables in the center. We eat at the Silver Cafe every week. Best homestyle Mexican cuisine you can get. Excellent friendly service, good food at a decent price. Recommend the combination plate ... red chile is flavorful and not too hot comes with a couple fresh made sopapillas with honey. Complimentary chips and salsa. Busy little place always seems full but well worth the wait for a good meal.
Amazing food, great New Mexico green chili. Service was great, atmosphere good. Got the combo meal, The tacos were delicious. Enchiladas were nom nom nom. Still drooling, thinking about the food. Highly recommend this place 10 stars out of 5 ?.
