This was one of the few places open on Christmas Day and we were passing thru and didn't feel like eating something from a chain restaurant. We didn't have high expectations so we ate with an open mind. Some of the food was bland like the chicken and cashews and spicy chicken, but we really liked the orange chicken, the general tsoa chicken and chicken with green beans. The fried rice and low mein weren't too bad. Th... View all feedback.
What Alejandra Frazier doesn't like about Golden Star:
Food is alright for the price, flavor is of on some things. Sweet and sour is missing sweet, has a bit of a blah flavor. General Taos chicken has more of a vinegar flavor, no spicy at all. Surprisingly the orange chicken in really good, I'm very picky and hate it when it's too much of an orange flavor. The noodles and fried rice isn't the best, it lacks a little bit of flavor. The amount is good though for the price,... View all feedback.
The food was incredibly fresh and delicious! I really enjoyed the egg foo young.
A relaxed atmosphere, generous portions, and fairly reasonable prices.
I had a strong craving for Chinese food tonight. Since I'm accustomed to Panda Express, I was a bit hesitant to try this restaurant. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and delicious the food was. I will definitely be returning!
I believe I 've left a review for this restaurant under the Chinese Fast Food title. But all around this is a good place with fair prices for hot food and soup. It 's one of my main stops especially when I 'm feeling under the weather or it 's cold out. My only wish is that they partner with Doordash someday! I truly do recommend all their food but my favorite is the jalapeno chicken with the cashew chicken and the fried rice or Mei Fun. My absolute favorite soup by them is the egg drop soup. They 're very kind and you get that warm family atmosphere. Parking: Most of the time, there 's a spot to park, but sometimes they get busy and you end up parking at the next door building. So long as it 's a short stay, nobody really has an issue with it. Many come in to get the various combo plates for lunch and leave so parking opens up pretty quickly. Wheelchair accessibility: I 'd say for wheelchair access it may be a tad snug through the front and side door and perhaps tricky. Not because it isn 't necessarily wide enough, but because of the layout of the building. The side door also has stairs.
Too long of a line that day I went. Nobody wants to work anymore, I guess. This business needs help at the front with CSR. They lady does her best. #HardWorker. Vegetarian options: I don 't know what vegetarians eat and can not eat. I am a CARNIVORE just like the cavemen did. Wheelchair accessibility: Only one slot of parking for Wheel Chair people.
