Kildesoe - Silkeborg

The restaurant is at the Scandic Hotel in Silkeborg. It has recently been built and the look and feel is very modern with a very nice atmosphere. The view to the garden is very nice some of the rooms are very exposed to the restaurant but that is another story. The new bar is also nice and it is possible to sit outside and eat there are large umbrellas and heaters to extend the season. We had a business dinner at the restaurant. We all ordered starters and main courses. Service was good and attentive and our orders were quickly taken and our drinks arrived shortly after. The scallops were delicious but why they serve 3 scallops distributed into 3 small bowls is a riddle. The lamb for mains was good but tended to have been a little long in the sous vide ? . The salad on the side was way too big and a strange combination of marinated carrots, glasswort and some long sprouts making it impossible to eat Steaks were ordered medium but were very close to well done. The fries were a bit soft but the smoked mashed potatoes was delicious. With just a few amendments and a little more care, the food could be really good.

Very polite and nice personal but the hotel needs a renovation. Still good for an overnight stay like I dis.

It was delicious, really great steak. Service was good and very friendly. Atmosphere is very open en clean. Dinner took some time as it was very busy, which was a good sign.
