We arrived at 1030am really hungry and ordered the tocino-egg breakfast, which is ridiculously cheap and very tasty. Before leaving, we also tried the halo-halo, which you can order with or without ice cream. Avoid the hamburger (dry). Tons of sweet stuff (Brazo de Mercedes, cakes, flan) View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kermit's Cafe and Pastry:
I got to taste their chocolate cake after a host in Bantayan brought it as a birthday present for a friend. I loved the chocolate cake. So when I had the chance to visit Bantayan town, I was glad to have found Kermit’s as it...was close to the church and the plaza. I ordered gambas and halo halo. The gambas was filling but not so spectacular. The halo halo was good. When I asked for water I was told they do not have... View all feedback.

We thought this place looked ok for some lunch in bantayan town. I think we made a mistake of ordering a burger and wrap. Local/Asian food looked better but as we'd eaten a lot of this on our trip we opted for a change and it backfired! Burger bun was quite stale and the sauce on it wasn't to our taste (appreciate some people may like the sauce, just our opinion here). Wrap was pretty small and had a few small pieces of fried chicken. I genuinely believe we made bad choices here as some of the cakes looked great as did some of the other dishes. Unfortunately our experience wasn't good.
The desserts at this restaurant are gorgeous, with the apple cake standing out as a highlight. The pastries are consistently delicious, though they could be a bit less fancy. The service is friendly and quick.
A group of five family members stopped at this café for coffee and snacks one afternoon while visiting Bantayan Island. What a charming, tidy, and traditional spot to take a break! They offer a wonderful variety of local soups and pastries that are incredibly delicious. It's clear that they have been a favorite in Bantayan for quite some time, and now I understand why. Excellent!
My friend and I have been to this café and pastry shop several times just for drinks and snacks. The Italian bread rolls were delicious and we highly recommend this place. Thank you, Luigi and Hans.
