Very nice Restaurant/Hotel in the city Center next to the Church ! Nice cosy and comfortable rooms, swimming pool, parking for the car, nice and comprehensive breakfast ! A truly extraordinary gastronomic experience!! We chose « Saut à Vatre Choix » dans ce menu, added cheese carts at the end of the meal. Every single plate was beautifully presented and the whole food was delicious. Service and speed were also perfect. You have a great wine card that doesn't break the bank. In our experience, this deserves more than a Michelin star!
The Auberge is our popular restaurant in Basel and three countries. We are spoiled in this region with a wide selection of Michelin or Gault Millau decorated restaurants. Auberge Saint Laurent is the place to choose if you are looking for a culinary pleasure ride, an occasion to resign in the world for a great food and wine and think how great life is actually. It’s not the place to be completely surprised or to experience a rollercoaster of sensations a la “wow, I never thought that this could be combined to taste so”. That's what you gotta do. While certainly creative, the Alsatian heart beats too strong in the eggplant and you can expect and you will appreciate the strength and reliability of taste and texture combinations. With the odd turn, the Auberge delivers the quality of classic French cuisine and with generous portions. While formal, it feels covered. Many fine restaurants call attention and dare to say that the visitor introduces their imagination and alleged genius. Staff at the Auberge will make you welcome and part of the family for the duration of your stay and all at fair prices. The perfect place to raise a special occasion to another level, instead of spilling a special occasion with attention looking for nouvelle cuisine.
Treated to an exceptional dinner here, each course paired with a fine wine discussed and suggested by the sommelier. We were lucky enough to dine in the lovely garden where ambient lights were in the form of wireless orbs so no ugly overhead harsh lighting. Everyone looked like thy were born on the cover of a magazine. Food was explained clearly where not understood by us poor English, and delivered with a subtlety and flair I rarely see. Pre amuse bouche, palette cleansers, post amuse bouche, a myriad of enticing flavours to get you ready for the main event, Wine was possible to be purchased in half bottles for each course which was excellent allowing us to enjoy each course without drowning it in the previous course's wine. I have no idea just how much we were treated by our lovely friends. I know it was very expensive but what a treat!
This restaurant is really great. The first great thing was that I wanted to try about everything on the menu. This never happens to me. I had to make a choice and enjoyed ALL of the dishes i tried, Starters, main dish and dessert were all very tasty and different. I enjoyed the few appetizers offered by the restaurant as well as the few treats for dessert. Service was great and personnel very nice and professional. Priced are a little high but it's probably due to the location of the restaurant. I would go back without an hesitation.
My friends gave me a voucher for this place and from the moment the restaurant accepted or booking it was wonderful.Everything about this place screams quality. From the exterior, to the interior, from the staff to the service.By far the best meal this year. So good that we bought a voucher for some friends.
