The restaurant opens... read more We stayed at Executive Hotel in Siena for 2 weeks on our Luxury Escapes Package. The buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. The restaurant opens at 7pm for the evening meal. The variety of different meals offered is astonishing, you could almost go for 2 weeks with a different meal every day. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate your requests, even changing things to suit you taste. We found the staff very happy, flexible and friendly. It’s not an upmarket restaurant but very good nicely cooked and presented. Given we were on a package, dinner was included in our deal, it was very convenient as the Hotel is a distance out of Siena.

The staff tried hard to be helpful but with buslo... read more The menu and the food should have been fabulous. Italian food usually is. But it was overall bland and boring. The staff tried hard to be helpful but with busloads in sometimes it seemed that there were not enough staff on hand to look after the numbers and so meals dragged on. The ambience is more cafeteria than restaurant. Some of the furnishings were past their use-by date. It would appear that the hotel has a range of different deals going with different guests. The staff seemed to be just as confused by this as we were. Although we asked on a number of occasions it was only when we went to check out that we were made aware of surcharges for some choices on the menu. The reception staff were great and sorted the problem quickly and amicably. Evening meals were included in our package and considering the price of the package they were okay and adequate but not exciting.
