The... read more Arrived late evening on a Sunday. Grumpy man at reception. We were put in a ground floor bedroom next to what seemed to be a communal or the staff toilet.. The bedroom overlooked a football pitch. We kept waking up during the night as someone with squeaky shoes kept going to the toilet outside our door. There was a smell of sewerage coming up through the washbowel plug which we detected when cleaning out teeth and it made us want to throw up. The breakfast next morning was just awful. Powdered coffee coming out of a machine like you see in hospitals etc. Fruit juice the same and it tasted weak and powdery. Poor selection of cereals and fresh fruit. All the cheapest. A shame as it was central and there were some good restaurants and cafes near by and the bus station.

This restaurant, located in the hotel where I stayed, had wonderful food, service, and variety of menu offerings. Good breakfast, fast wifi. Polite and willing staff who make a great effort to serve. It does not have an elevator. It needs renovation of the doors and plumbing because it does not have soundproofing. You can hear speeches and the water running in the next room. We stayed 5 nights, 6 nights and the sheets were not changed. Also the room did not have a trash can and we were forced to find bags and throw them away ourselves.

The hotel is in an excellent location, a 10-minute walk from Piazza del Campo and a 5-minute walk from the bus station, which provides easy access to other towns like San Gimignano. The staff was truly professional, yet friendly and helpful. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant. The style of the building is very welcoming, as are the rooms. And all this at a truly affordable price (considering it was November . I highly recommend Hotel Chiusarelli to anyone looking for a place to stay in Siena. ROOM Classic style, welcoming, and clean. The bathroom is modern, clean, and spacious enough. LOCATION Siena city center, a 10-minute walk. The bus station, a 5-minute walk. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance. RESTAURANT Excellent and high-quality.
