A really excellent meal our best in Siem Reap. Perhaps expensive compared to local options, but certainly worth the price. The gourmet set menu was made with international standards of fine cuisine, and cost only $100 USD for 2 persons including taxes, tip and a bottle of Chardonnay. We highly recommend Mie Cafe! Love the local feeling and food is great! Tried her Marinated Frog Legs with wild mushrooms and Tonle Sap Fish Sweet Sour. The frogfish were so fresh! It's the first time I tried a frog and I was surprised how much I loved him. One of the best appetizers I've ever had! Very recommended.
I had the tasting menu for lunch and loved it. I wish I had time for dinner. I thought the food was great, especially for the price class. No complaints in the service. Mie Cafe is further from the city center, close to Sofitel Hotel I believe, but hopping on a tuk tuk is no problem and there is a lot of waiting close to the ride back.
Went for the Gourmet Menu which was 5 courses. Best meal I had in Cambodia but the competition wasn't much to be honest. Nice fusion food. Flavours were great. Good value for money as well. Portions were just right for an average eater.
This fine restaurant is located slightly out of the city but getting there is not an issue at all. Just hop on to any friendly tuk tuk. They have a great ambience and the service was prompt and efficient. I find the menu to be a tad limited but since it's my first visit, I don't mind at all. The food is good well prepared fusion of East and West.
