Fun atmosphere. Lots of beer on tap. Friendly staff. The bbq chicken pizza was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. The salad had a small portion of dressing and hardly any vegetables. What you would except for pretty good bar food. Pricey small pizzas $20! . View all feedback.
What Garrett Mitchell doesn't like about Taphouse Grill:
The wife and I decided to stop in here on our way into Canada. Big mistake. The photos and the menu are pretty inaccurate for this dive bar. Even the menus that were handed to us they don't even follow. Ordered a Philly steak and cheese and got served steak and Nacho cheese on a open faced bun. Menu says provalone. Not sure who figures Nacho cheese works on a Philly steak sandwich but to me it was 100 percent inedibl... View all feedback.
Kaitlyn the lead chef is a godsend to this restaurant. I've never had a better burger or Philly cheese steak. Excellent customer service and speedy food delivery. Decent prices. If Kaitlyn ever leaves I'm never going back. She deserves a million dollars an hour
The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and an impressive selection of beers on tap. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I tried the BBQ chicken pizza, which was decent, though not particularly remarkable. The salad, unfortunately, came with a minimal amount of dressing and lacked sufficient vegetables. Overall, it’s what you’d expect from decent bar food. However, I found the small pizzas to be quite pricey at $20 each.
My husband and I recently dined at this restaurant, and while the waitress was friendly and the service was flawless, the food left much to be desired. I ordered the chicken strips, which were overly burnt and nearly blackened, while the fries were completely bland and lacked any seasoning. My husband opted for a hamburger, but the patty was unremarkably small and dry. Considering the prices we paid, we would have been better off choosing a fast food option instead.
The food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely return. They even make their own sausage, which is outstanding!
My wife and I made the mistake of stopping at this place on our way into Canada. The photos and menu are quite misleading for what is essentially a dive bar. Even the menus we received didn't align with what was actually offered. I ordered a Philly steak and cheese and ended up with steak topped with nacho cheese on an open-faced bun. The menu clearly states provolone should be used. I'm not sure who thought nacho cheese would work on a Philly cheesesteak, but it was completely inedible. My wife’s burger had mozzarella on it, which could have been fine, but the addition of nacho cheese was just unappetizing. The fries were also disappointing; they were just thin strips rather than the decent fries or steak fries shown in the photos from previous customers. The only redeeming quality of this dive bar was that they served the beer at the right temperature. If you go, stick to beer and skip the food.
