The food was truly superb. We were also given a champagne gift to celebrate our occasion and treated to some Turkish dancing from the staff. A wonderful night in a great restaurant. We ate our first holiday evening meal here based on the number of great reviews. It was a quiet night and only a handful of tables were occupied, so not a great deal of people atmosphere. A reasonable view of the coast across the road though. We had cocktails, starters, main (the sharing mixed grill) and a bottle of wine. The total bill came to £120, by far the most costly meal of the holiday. We always felt pushed by the staff to spend more, particularly a much 'better ' (ie more expensive) wine, and there was a heavy push on the most expensive dishes. A pity as it started to annoy after a while. We enjoyed the food, good quality and well cooked, but not the best we had over the last week. Service was however disappointing. The host was very keen to get us in the the restaurant but the attention level and service dropped right off as soon as the main dishes were placed on the table. Our bottle of red was placed out of reach so the staff could serve, but they were too busy sat in a huddle playing on phones to notice glasses were empty and needed topping up. When we eventually retrieved the bottle ourselves, and started topping up, one of the lads raced over and grabbed it out of my hand. Not impressed by lack of attention nor the action that followed. We got more attention from the local stray cats. Took ages to get the bill, and when we did it was a single figure, no breakdown, which didn 't feel right.
