Was Angel at Merla's Kitchen a mag?
Amazing food. Probably my new favorite Filipino restaurant in the city. Everything I tasted was amazing. Namely, the chicken adobo, pan said, and fish empanada. Will definitely come back View all feedback.

What Rex H dislikes about Merla's Kitchen:
The ambience is good but the food was prepared untidy; the chicken afritada was overflowing from the container. It would be good if it was put in a better sealed container. Chicken afritada are strands of chicken as compared to what i expected as small bits of chicken, and the sinigang na salmon is not soury at all, both food are far from what a Filipino taste we are expecting it to be. It does look like it was cooke... View all feedback.

The food was decent, but the decor appears strange and unwelcoming.

This restaurant is a great spot to grab a quick and delicious fully prepared meal for either lunch or dinner. The food is tasty and authentic.

Merla's Kitchen has been amazing for me as a hungry Northeastern student attending night classes. I strongly suggest trying the empanadas - one is perfect for a big snack, while two can make a satisfying meal.

Best Filipino restaurant! The staff makes you feel like family and the food is good, consistent, and at a great price point. This is the place I go to when I want to treat myself.

The atmosphere and decor were lovely. The beef empanada was delightful—its crust was fluffy, sweet, and savory, while the filling was flavorful and juicy. However, I wasn't fond of the breakfast dish (the egg roll version); the empanada was so impressive that it made me realize I simply made a poor choice with my order.
