This place is real. The tacos de pastor include pineapple which is what pastor is supposed to come with since it is marinated in it. The street corn is delicious as well. It's not your street vendor's nameless brand mayo but its good. The tortas are delicious as well. Try a chorizo one and change your life.

We stopped at La Cuchara as we were on our way to a game at the United Center, which is only about three blocks west on Madison St. La Cuchara is nice, as it does not get as crowded as the Billy Goat Tavern that is right next door. There is parking in the lot. The staff was efficient and friendly. We ordered the patatas bravas which are spicy potatoes and two picadillo tacos which are ground beef. We ate light, since we knew that we would have something at the United Center. The food came out quickly and tasted great. We had more than enough time to get over to the United Center. Great job!

Nice little restaurant handy for United Centre. Very good Margarita and steady Mexican food with good sized portions. Wait staff excellent too.
