This is the most iconic Italian restaurant in Chicago. Today was my first time trying Gene Georgetti. The atmosphere is cozy and gives you that authentic old school feel. The espresso martini I had was top 5 in the city, and the appetizers were incredible. Highly recommend their Italian sausage and peppers. I also had their chicken parmigiana which comes with pasta. I really enjoyed the crispy coating and the dish wa... View all feedback.
What L S doesn't like about Gene Georgetti:
First time eating here and it was worth it just for the service, the risotto and the tiramisu, but don’t order the steak. Great service and amazing food. Had the strip, fries, brussel sprouts, grilled asparagus and turtle cheesecake.

The service was exceptional, from severs to bartenders and everyone in between, very homey. The grilled squid was perfect, the antipasto plate big and delicious, and the Chicken George plentiful and delicious.
Our go to place. Love going here for just drinks or family lunch/dinners.

Our family went on Christmas Eve and the service and meal could not have been better. We started off with mixed drinks and appetizers. The calamari was some terrific. For dinner, we got an assortment of bone-in ribeyes, filet and veal marsala. All cooked to perfection, along with the sides of brocolinini and mashed potatoes. The wine s … – show
