By far the best Central Asian food in the Chicago area! Entire menu is authentic. Hearty, delicious food in enormous portions. Handmade noodles, dumplings, and pastries are fantastic. Hot bread, both oven and deep fried ! served with tons of butter and spicy peppery sauce. Soups are meaty and rich. Strongly recommended. Don’t forget to drink green tea as a traditional palate cleanser after your meal: View all feedback.
What MK A doesn't like about Chayhana:
Since the reviews were so nice we decided to visit this place. At first we were not able to find the restaurant because there is no sign on the restaurant. We entered a small depressing looking place; built on a very tight budget.Everything was bare essential. I was made to sit on a table which had not been cleaned. I found old napkin pieces and rice on the table. Frankly, the atmosphere was discouraging. I can’t und... View all feedback.
Oh Chayhana, how I missed you when you were closed for several weeks (months? . This was my first introduction to Central Asian food years ago, and it’s been a go-to spot ever since! The samsa is so flakey and good (if they have the pumpkin one, don’t even hesitate , the manti is comfort food, and the lagman is the perfect cold weather meal. You actually can’t go wrong here. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and it’s all home cooked and good.
This is one of best Halal food and restaurant. Dishes are delicious and fresh. Especially Lagman. Samsa and Honey cakes. Try and taste it. Prices are not expensive. Good luck guys. Halal is always the best.
Food is good, but whenever you try to call, they are never available and always goes to voicemail. It has become quite irritating as this has happened many times. Hence the low rating. Hopefully this will cause the restaurant to actually take notice and do something about it

Great place to try central Asian food. Everything is handmade and fresh. Loved samsy and borchsh. The pastry of samsy is handmade, chrunchy layers and the filling is juicy full of meat. For the dessert we had hone cake. Must try!
