Have their Mac n cheese. Was one of the best I'd ever had! We had the one with bacon! On Fridays they have paralyzers on special. The red snapper was pretty good as well. A bit overdone but tasty. Sara was our server and she was awesome! View all feedback.
What David H doesn't like about Bahama John's Seafood Rib Shack:
The service is absolutely dreadful for one, all the servers and staff walk around in high praise with their noses in the air. Ever since John Left and Drew the quality and hospitality is horrible. The food tastes like it came off a boat from china in a crate. The people are just an abomination to customers and customer service. Foods still **** View all feedback.
Bahama John 's is located a couple blocks off the main highway in the small town of Sicamous. Looking for lunch halfway through a road trip between Penticton and Calgary, I was delighted to find this gem featuring a large patio with gorgeous views of Mara Lake. I couldn 't resist trying the ribs as they are included the name of the restaurant itself. I ordered the half rack of ribs dry (a tangy BBQ sauce was also available) with coleslaw and seasonal veg.The ribs were generously portioned and fall-off-the-bone tender. The veg was green beans sauteed in lots of garlic. The restaurant provides a house-made house sauce at the table called Fire in the Hole . This sauce is quite vinegary with large chunks of habanero peppers and goes well with the ribs and the veggies. Service was quick and friendly. I would normally find the $20 price for the meal a tad high, but is fair given the wonderful atmosphere.

We found this place while travelling after stopping for a quick dip in the lake. Nice location right on the narrows. Very interesting to sit on the patio and watch the 'boat launch tractor ' at work right next door. I had a traditional burger, and the wife had a burger in a lettuce wrap. Enjoyed my meal very much. Wife had problems with her burger falling apart all over the plate, but I did not find this terribly surprising given that it was wrapped in lettuce rather than a bun. She ended up just eating with fork and knife. We were both happy with taste. Service was good, but not great. The place was rather busy, and appeared understaffed to me.

Perfect Jesse! We 've got some great basketball to watch this weekend. The food is outstanding and your staff is excellent. Looking forward to coming back to the lake and dinner at John 's .
