Nitan serves 5 or 7 course menu featuring ingredients from their own farm and local seafood suppliers in a modern relaxed setting. We had the 5-course menu. Each and every plate was delicious. The first plate consisted of shrimp mousse tart, chicken skewer and yellow curry chawanmushi. Then we had the big eye scad fish, john snapper and the duck. The final was made with berries with meringue and sea salt coconut ice cream. It was a great experience.
During our Diwali weekend in Phuket, we were lucky to secure a table at Nitan on a Saturday night to celebrate my friend's birthday. The restaurant had a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, with only a few tables (we were only 15 guests!). The service was professional and friendly, with waiters explaining each dish in detail to help us appreciate the techniques and ingredients used. When we found the dishes were coming out too quickly, we mentioned it to the staff, who adjusted the pace. The menu was inspired by a train journey from north to south Thailand, with each course representing a different city or region. While this concept may not be completely unique, we found it well-executed and enjoyable. After dinner, my friend and I tried to rank the dishes, agreeing on our least favorite but unable to choose a definite favorite as they were all excellent (particularly the prawn, grouper, and pink hued fried rice). I would definitely return to Nitan on my next trip to Phuket, as the quality surpassed our expectations and the prices were very reasonable (much cheaper than a similar meal in Bangkok). Congratulations to the chef and team for providing such a fantastic culinary experience in Phuket!
The restaurant has a trendy decor that suits its modern Thai cuisine well. We were pleasantly surprised by the varied and unique dishes offered. Our top pick was the grouper dish, which perfectly blended traditional Thai flavors with a creative presentation. The only downside to this type of innovative restaurant is that you can't frequent it as often, as you typically have to wait for the menu to change.
We were with our family. Everything is quite tasty. The feed speed is very lame. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿100–200 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We had the tasting menu where ingredients were all sourced locally based on seasonal offerings. Modern twist on classic Southern Thai cuisine which was thoughtfully put together. Impeccable and warm service from the team who were all very accommodating. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿1,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
